Las Vegas & statewide telehealth
Autism evaluations for children and teens, without the year-long wait.
For ages 2–18. Appointments are typically available within 2–3 weeks, and your written report arrives within 2–3 business days of the visit.
Answers shouldn't take years.
Many Nevada families wait a year or more for an autism evaluation, and services like ABA, speech, and occupational therapy often can't begin until a diagnosis is documented. That wait is time your child could be getting support.
I structured this evaluation to change that. By centering the assessment on a thorough parent interview and validated diagnostic tools, I can see more families sooner while still providing a careful, well-documented evaluation.
How it works
Three steps from first call to written report
1
Schedule and complete intake forms
Call or email to book. Before the visit, you'll receive a short set of questionnaires to complete at home.
2
The evaluation visit
A 45–90 minute appointment, in person in Las Vegas or by secure telehealth. Most of the visit is a detailed conversation with you about your child's development, communication, social interaction, and behavior.
3
Receive your written report
Typically within 2–3 business days, with diagnostic findings and recommendations you can share with insurers, schools, and therapy providers.
The report
Documentation you can put to work
The comprehensive written report is designed to meet the documentation insurers typically require before authorizing autism-related services. Each plan sets its own criteria, so approval can't be guaranteed, but the report gives you what you need to start the process.
What it includes
Diagnostic impressions, DSM-5 criteria, developmental history, and clear recommendations for next steps.
Insurance & therapy
Commonly submitted to pursue coverage for ABA, speech, and occupational therapy.
School support
Can support requests for IEP or 504 plan accommodations.
Community resources
Useful when applying for state and community developmental services.
Fees
One flat fee: $500
The fee covers the evaluation visit and your comprehensive written report. Evaluations are private-pay, which is part of what makes the shorter wait possible.
Additional documentation requested after the report is delivered is billed separately. The office can answer questions about payment when you call.
Meet your provider
Robert Adlerstein, APRN, PMHNP-C, FNP-C
I'm a dual board-certified psychiatric and family nurse practitioner based in Las Vegas. While most of my practice is adult psychiatry, I added autism evaluations because families here were waiting far too long for answers. My goal is simple: a careful, thorough evaluation and a report you can actually use, without the wait.

Common questions
What ages do you evaluate?
I evaluate children and adolescents ages 2 to 18.
Will insurance accept the report?
The report includes the diagnostic documentation insurers typically require, and families commonly use it to pursue coverage for ABA, speech, and occupational therapy. Each plan makes its own decisions, so approval can't be guaranteed.
Can the evaluation be done by telehealth?
Yes. Evaluations are available in person in Las Vegas or by secure telehealth anywhere in Nevada.
What should I prepare?
Complete the intake questionnaires before your visit. If you have prior evaluations, school records, or notes from your pediatrician, they're helpful but not required.
What if my child isn't diagnosed with autism?
You'll still receive a written report with findings and recommendations, so you have direction on next steps.
